With experience that spans over 35-years in the international upstream petroleum industry, Tom has deep knowledge of high functioning value chains. His domain specialties are: operational excellence, well & reservoir management, lean operations, technology commercialization, and digital transformations.
Tom is a visionary leader, a change agent who combines deep technical expertise with commercial/business acumen to create a strategic mission for organizations in pursuit of value accretive opportunities. He approaches problems with a strategic leader’s perspective and employs managerial design thinking, able to architect solutions that quickly drive value.
Prior to Floris, his recent industry positions were at Chesapeake as Senior Director for Operations Technology, accountable for establishing OE standards and optimization routines across their unconventional NA portfolio and Shell, as Vice President for Global Deepwater & Wells Technology.
He holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA in Strategy & Leadership from UCLA Anderson.
