Tony Lanson

Tony Lanson has over 40 years of experience reducing risk in energy sector capital investment decisions through project management, engineering knowledge, and strategy development. He spent most of those years working for the Shell Group on projects around the world.

His broad experience includes field operations, a range of petroleum engineering disciplines, financial analysis and economic evaluation, field development planning, and project delivery.

Throughout his career, he has held special interests in petroleum engineering applications on all aspects of the upstream oil and gas lifecycle.

Tony was the Engineering Manager for an independent oil and gas company during development of an Eagle Ford EOR opportunity in south Texas (2016 – 2019), after which he advised new technology startups in Houston’s Venture Capital environment in risk management, structured decision analysis, and project management.

Tony is a registered PE in Petroleum Engineering and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Orleans.
