Create New Horizons
People
Staff will become very knowledgeable about the business they’re managing, particularly about any constraints that are inherent to their existing assets. They will be encouraged to look outside the organization for solutions, and be rewarded when their proposals are implemented.
Leadership will continue to encourage staff, and open opportunities for improvement.
Plant
The hardware of your asset will be in excellent shape, and debottlenecked wherever necessary. Modifications to plants will fall mainly into the category of new technology implementation, including extensive use of IT and AI solutions. The organization will have an annual budget for technology implementation. It also must be willing to take some technology risk for non-standard implementations.
Process
While standardization will be the primary aim, there will also be a need to re-define processes for resiliency whenever new technology is implemented. Continuous process improvements is a way of working, and is supported by cross-organization functional groups.
Potential
A better understanding of the reservoir, plant, and downstream capacity will generate a more complete lifecycle view of the asset. Optimizing a depletion plan, capturing new technology, adopting new staffing skills, and creating programs will all be critical in maximizing the value realization of the assets.
